Kaksi vuotta sitten käynnistynyt yhteistyö Hessenin alueen ammatillisen opettajankoulutuslaitoksen kanssa sai lokakuussa jatkoa kun sosiaali- ja terveysalan opettajaopiskelija Julia Haunschild suoritti kenttäharjoittelunsa Jyväskylän ammattiopistossa.

 Julian vaihdon aikana Jyväskylässä vierailivat myös hänen ohjaavaopettaja Ralf Hölzer-Germann sekä opettajankoulutuslaitoksen johtaja Ute Ebert (kuva yllä).  Suunnitelman mukaan Saksasta Jyväskylään tulee joka syksy ja kevät 1-3 opettajaopiskelijaa ja Jyväskylästä puolestaan 2-3 opettajaa pääsee Saksaan täydennyskouluttautumaan keväisin. Alustava suunnitelma on laadittu vuoteen 2020.

Jyväskylän ammattiopistossa Julian ohjauksesta vastasi sosiaali- ja terveysalan opettaja Seija Rossinen (kuvassa Julian ja Ralf Hölzer-Germannin kanssa).

Loppupalautteeseen Julia oli kirjannut kokemuksestaa mm. seuraavaa:

“When I think about the last three weeks in Jyväskylä and the lessons I joined, there are many things which come to my mind.

What I didn’t notice in the first place, but is nearly always around: the extraordinary trust into pupils and the believe, that every human being wants to learn. I am impressed how consequent this is pulled through the whole education system. I have seen similarities in the learning culture. The German and the Finnish school systems assume, that no one can make a pupil learn. Teachers can offer informations and knowledge but the pupils have to take it and use it to their own good. For creating sustained knowledge, it is important to let pupils do, discover or try things on their own. This is where I see the German lessons far more developed compared to Finland.

All in all it was a pleasure to have the chance coming to Jyväskylä College, meet so many nice people and take part at the lessons. I can hardly wait to try some of the things, which were new for me: for example letting people do group exams or creating mind maps instead of always giving questions they have to answer.”
