The purpose of the college is to provide a coordinated system of vocational education and training programmes at various levels in order to meet the requirements of the private as well as the public sector. The college has a long tradition of servicing the private and public sector with a focus on the training needs of the Eastern part of Jutland and by offering flexible education and training programmes and courses within a wide variety of occupations at different levels. The VET educations offered at AARHUS TECH cover qualifications in IT, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Graphic and design, facility service, transport and logistics, Auto mechanics, Gastronomy and hairdressing.

One of the priorities of AARHUS TECH is involvement in international activities for students and staff. It is an explicit part of the school strategy to prepare all students for a global labour market. AARHUS TECH has many years of experience facilitating European mobilities for students and staff – both incoming and out-going mobilities. Currently we are chairman of the EMEU network. Furthermore, we have had lead of a number of Leonardo partnership projects and are participating in 2 ERASMUS+ strategic partnerships: VR4VET and EMEU4CROSSOVERS.

For both in-coming and out-going mobilities we increasingly focus on quality insurance using ECVET. We work towards a balance where we receive an equal number of students from other schools in Europe as we send students abroad. AARHUS TECH is consolidating our partnership these years through participation in networks. This facilitates a smooth communication and ensures quality.
