Objective and results

Objectives:

  • Adapt vocational education to labor market needs and improve customer service training.
  • Address digital transformation and promote digital competence.
  • Improve training in customer service skills using the VR4VET environment.

Outcomes:

  • VR4VET environment for practicing customer service situations.
  • Eight different programmed scenarios in all national languages and in English.
  • A training program and training materials for VET teachers.
  • A handbook for teachers on how to use the environment and the written scenarios.

Innovative strength of the project:

  • VR4VET provides equal opportunities and creates new training standards.
  • Co-creation between the MBO, companies and students.
  • Simulations are effective for teaching skills, but VR simulations in customer service are rare.
  • VR4VET contributes to inclusivity within net vocational education, everyone gets the opportunity to train certain realistic skills.
  • VR4VET contributes to the strategies of all partners and strengthens the network already established between VET colleges.
